We don't only help musicians develop their talents, but we also help musicians develop their collaboration, performance and professional skills to make sure they can thrive in the creative industry.

When you study music with us you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in a number of different areas such as instrumental skills, general musicianship, planning for a career in the industry and using a digital audio workstation. We can cater to all abilities and our varied and talented staff have a wide range of experience and expertise, with some even still working in the music industry today. Studying at Level 3 allows a clear pathway into studying music at university but it will also set you up with the skills for entering the music industry in a variety of different ways.

​Performance skills which can be applied to on stage performances.

How to improve on your instrument or even learn a new instrument by working with a tutor in bespoke lessons.

How to write and create your own music as on a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)​.

Playing in a band - performing covers & writing original material.

Professional musician skills to tackle the modern landscape of music​.

How to achieve a career in the creative music industry.
Performance Opportunities
We have a rich history of concerts and performances at Tang Hall SMART and we have hosted these at the biggest venues in York such as The Barbican, The Fulford Arms, Fibbers, Theatre 41 and at our own site. Performing at venues like this allows you to develop your professional skills and have the chance to perform in real world venues with real world expectations.


Our Studio
At one of our sites 'The White Rooms' we have our state of the art studio which offers the ability for students to work with extremely high quality equipment within a professional environment.
Students studying at Level 3 will have the opportunity to have both bespoke sessions and group sessions working with tutors who have experience and are currently working within the modern music industry.
