OPEN EVENING: focus on Smart-Ways

TUESDAY OCTOBER 22ND 6.00-8.00pm IN THE HALL

Tuesday night is aimed primarily at young people aged 16-24 years, their parents/carers, interested professionals – who would like to hear about our individualised Smart-Ways programme of education/training; an exciting alternative to Sixth Form and College. Ideal for those young people who are interested in and enthusiastic about music, the creative arts, or electronics/radio – and available to young people who have EHCPs, we will be launching our programme for 2020/21 during the evening, and providing an opportunity to hear all about the different pathways that young people can take with us.

Doors open at 6.00 pm in the hall, with a prompt start at 6.05 pm where we will start the night with a chance to hear from pupils who are on the programme this year, followed by presentations from Sue Williamson (Managing Director) and other staff where you will be able to find out about the background and ethos of our programme, as well as all the details of how to apply.

A short ceremony will take place, whereby those learners from 2018/19 who attained qualifications will be awarded their certificates. There will then be a short musical performance.

At 7.00pm, we will begin tours of our rooms. There will be a chance to see learners showcasing their music skills, look at portfolios of work, and to talk to staff and learners about the kinds of activities that take place on a Smart-Ways programme.

Refreshments will be available in the hall throughout the evening.

Everyone is welcome, and it is perfectly fine to simply turn up on the night, however it would help us if you could RSVP to sue@tanghallsmart.com if you are coming so we can ensure we have sufficient refreshments and chairs set out.
