The Last Few Weeks

Firstly, and before I begin the round-up of events, I wanted to start with the image above, taken of the rather nice certificate which arrived in the post last week from the Lord Mayor, related to the work we did during the Covid-19 Pandemic. It seems a long time ago now, but not only did we manage to keep education programmes going on-line, but we also churned out protective masks on our 3D-printers, delivered equipment and materials to people who needed it, ran community/sessions on Zoom, and even sang on people’s driveways. It is great to be appreciated. We hope we never have to face anything like that again, but if we do, we will be ready for it.

The wonderful Tang Hall SMART summer concert is this Saturday 25th, 1.30-9.00pm. Everyone welcome! Here is the link to the event-page.

For those of you interested in entrepreneurship, you might want to come along to York Festival’s afternoon of sessions on Friday 24th. I am joining the panel for the 4.45-5.45pm session, ‘How to be an Entrepreneur in York’ and would love to see some friendly faces in the audience. The link is here

On Sunday 3rd July, we are holding our first ever Sports Afternoon Fun-Day (2-4pm) which features sporting competitions as well as stalls, refreshments and a raffle. More information to follow nearer the time.

That is it for now. Thank you for reading, and have a lovely week.
